On Wednesday March 27/2013, My future forums class and I walked to downtown Kitchener to watch the TEDx Youth Waterloo in Chrysallids Theater. I'm supposed to right a review on my overall thoughts about the event. Overall, I'd have to say that it was more bad than good. I feel that the main reason was because we were in the TEDx Youth Waterloo and their was a TEDx Waterloo happening at the same time. I think that the best speakers went to the TEDx Waterloo and the rest came to the TEDx Youth Waterloo. For example, one of the best speakers at the TEDx Youth Waterloo was Holly Painter. After she finished with us, she left to the TEDx Waterloo to do another presentation.

Coming Home. Two words that mean so much. Home. What is it? Home could just be shelter to protect yourself from rain or snow. Home could be just another place to eat and sleep. But to some people, home is much more than that. To some people, home is a one syllable word that makes them happy every time they hear it. It's the only place you feel truly safe. And sometimes, to some people, home is the only place they feel they belong. Of course, there are those who get worried, mad, or sad when they hear the word home. Some people feel scared and endangered in their home. And to some people, they feel like every time they come home, they definitely do not belong. Me, I'm one of those people who feel like nothing will be the same as home other than my home. A home suited for me (based on what makes it feel like home) is a place for my family and I to live, and a place where I can go to if I have issues at school or anywhere else. I think the main factors that determine if I can consider this structure of brick as my home contains all these things. They are the people living inside it. I need to live in a place that contains my family, and a place with people who are always available for me to talk to if I have any issues at school or anywhere else. It took me only 1 month and a half to get used to my new house surprisingly.

Today I finished reading the book "Catching Fire" by Suzanne Collins. It's the second book in the Hunger Games trilogy, right after The Hunger Games (book 1) and Mocking Jay (book 3). Catching Fire was sort of, not really, kind of a good, not greatish type book. The plot was okay and it had a lot of suspense but this book just feels like it drags on and on and on. Don't get me wrong, it was a good read but like the whole story was so much similar to the 1st book that I lost some enjoyment reading it. I think that if I never read the 1st book then this book would have been great, kind of hard to understand since I don't know what happened before, but still great. The ending was good though. It made me feel like I have to get the next book so bad that I signed out the Mocking Jay today. Overall it's not a book I would read more than once but there's a lot of action and romance that really keeps the reader on edge and prevents the reader from dropping the book.
