Last week, we had our second election in Zugzwang history. In the blog titled "New Party," I stated that we created a new party. That party broke down the next day. Instead I along with Allan and 4 others, made a new new party called the Chewbacca party (I didn't decide on the name). The leader of this party was Allan and him along with 3 others (including me) signed up to be voted in as an MP for election day.
On election day, we voted because that's what we do on election day. There were only 2 parties running, the Chewbacca party and some other party. Our party consisted of 5 people while the other party consisted of about 20 people. Somehow we managed to get 3 people into the House of Commons. Even though we don't have the majority, I'm still pretty amazed at how many people from the opposing party voted for us.
Well, that's how election day went. I'm curious to see how the government in power will do in the next 2 years. Until then, Goodbye.

Last week Zugzwang had its Second Annual Court Day. For some reason, we were in a different class room and I had no clue. I was on my way to my original classroom from the library just to find out that my class was no where to be found. As I was searching for my class, I found 4 other classmates who also got lost. I suggested that we go to the main office to ask for the location of my teacher but the other 4 decided to search first so I went along. We searched the first floor. Nothing. We searched the second floor. Nothing. We searched the library. Nothing. We searched the third floor and the fourth floor. Nothing. Finally, we decided to just go to the main office and ask. We ended up finding our classroom. They were in the middle of their last case. In my opinion, this was the funniest court case I have ever been a part of. It was between two guys in my class. One guy was suing the other one for breaking the law in Bill 3 Appendix 2 or something like that. Not only did the prosecutor not have any evidence of the defendant breaking the law, the prosecutor didn't even know what Bill 3 Appendix 2 was. It had something to do with power yet not once did I here anything about power. At the end of the case, the three juries said that the defendant was guilty yet the judge ruled that both the prosecutor and the defendant paid a fine of $150 for a mockery of the court. The prosecutor told the court room that the reason why he did what he did was to show that the three juries had absolutely no say in the final ruling. They could say that someone is guilty but the judge can say innocent and that's what goes.

_About 2 weeks ago, one of my friends Allan spoke to me about creating a new party. His plan was to gather members from different parties and bring them into our new party. We don't have a name yet, but I feel like this could really improve the state of our country, Zugzwang. I agreed and, in like 90 min, we were able to get 7 other members making us a 9 member party. We're thinking of stopping the recruitment but we'll see how that plays out. We are creating a flag and it's looking good so far. Today, All the members of the party gathered outside to discuss who will be leader and who will be the 3 Members of Parliament representing our party, The New Liberation Party of Zugzwang. I'm really excited about how this "new party" plan will work out.

My first year in Zugzwang wasn't that great. I got nothing but a tree on auction day, I got scammed $3000 by a fellow member of my party (but than later won the court case), I lost 20 Well Being points (WB) because, and my sister, Bonquiqui, and my father, Julius, died. I still have $1000 left and because I won the court case, I was able to leave with one of the defendant's hex. I'm hoping for the farm or the insurance hex but we'll see. Also, I got elected into the house of commons which is a pretty big honor if you ask me. Well, that's how my first year in Zugzwang went. Hopefully I can turn things around in the next upcoming years and finish at the top.

Zugzwang is a country created by the future forums class of Cameron Heights Colliegiate Institute. We used a website called civic mirror which allowed us to make a virtual country where you can buy, sell, or exchange hexes ( territory that is owned like a river, a farm, a building, etc,) to accomplish your hidden agenda ( a secret agenda given to you by the supreme being). There's a House of Commons (including a Prime Minister), a judge, a historian, a supreme being, and of course citizens living in the country. At the top of this page you will see a picture with the hexes in Zugzwang with a little caption saying "Owned by Nasir So Far". The arrows pointing to the hexes are indicating that I own those hexes so far. I will try to always update the hexes I own (if I manage to purchase or trade for any).

Because Zugzwang is a country, it needs to have a flag. We decided to make our own flags and let the class vote on the flag they like the most. So this is what I came up with.
